WELLINGTONE BRAND FILM
This new treatment aims to solve the problems we had previously with our lead male character Pete. Such as:
Who is he?
Where is he?
Does he work for Wellingtone?
Is he in a Wellingtone Office?
Pete is a PMO Private Investigator.
He loves the 80’s and lives his life like someone in the cop/P.I. shows of the 80’s. He investigates PMO offices unearthing their bad practices.
Taking reference from the iconic Spike Jonze music video ‘Sabotage’ by the Beastie Boys we will introduce short 'Sabotage style' montages to establish Pete as a P.I. and bring energy, comedy and pace to the film.
The fast pace, short duration montages can also be used as a device to add in narrative or wrap up narratives where required at the end of a scene. Pete our PMO P.I. will not be violent or negative to other characters in our world. These ‘Sabotage’ inspired montages will bring the film energy excitement and comedy.
I feel that making a direct reference to this music video which plays homage to the 80’s cop shows will in turn bring our film concept closer to cool and funny ( and if our jokes don’t quite resonate with some people it will still deliver on being ‘cool’. )
Please watch the ‘Sabotage’ music video below before reading the new draft of the script.
